We are currently offering COVID vaccines to those in group 1A. Starting next week, we are able to take care of those who are 70+ and those working in education, including higher education and child care. For those in group 1A or those who are 70+, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a link to our scheduling website once we can. We also have clinics outside of normal business hours that will be available through the scheduling website. Those who work in the school system need to wait for communication from their district. We are working with the schools directly to schedule mass clinics for all faculty and staff. Those in other sub-categories in groups 1B and 1C can also begin to email us at email@example.com and we will add you to our list. We do not have authorization to vaccinate these groups yet but we are getting ready so when that authorization comes, we can begin reaching out to those individuals. Compounding is where pharmacy began. The first pharmacists were called apothecaries meaning they prepared and sold their own medications. Today, with large manufacturers producing hundreds of thousands of doses daily, the art of compounding has now become a niche in the pharmacy world. The problem with large manufacturers is that patients are treated with a “cookie cutter” approach to medicine. Compounding however, can take into account specific patient needs in order to create a custom medication just for one patient.
At our Collier Compounding Lab, we take the personal touch that began with those early apothecaries and combine it with modern technology and high quality assurance to produce custom medications that can meet our patients’ specific needs. We specialize in all types of compounding, from creams, gels, and ointments to custom capsules, suppositories, and more.
A primary focus of ours is Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy or BHRT. Every patient is different and by offering custom doses of hormone medications, we have literally helped thousands of men and women regain their proper ‘hormone balance.’ Call and talk to one of our team members about how we can assist you in regaining your ‘balance.’
Our pharmacists are specially trained to provide expert advice on diabetes care and management. We provide information on diabetic care, testing products, and nutrition information. We also have a complete line of diabetic products and supplies.
Since diabetic patients face an increased risk for serious foot disorders, we offer custom shoe fitting at our North Hills location to make sure you have properly fitting shoes. For qualified diabetics, Medicare Part B allows for 1 pair of shoes and 3 pairs of inserts per year. Our shoe line includes Dr. Comfort, Drew Shoe, and Natural Step.

Medication Adherence Program
There are so many things in this world to occupy our precious and valuable time these days and spending time waiting at the pharmacy with countless trips to pick-up medications shouldn’t be one of them. Many Americans, on average, are taking more than 3 prescription medications for chronic diseases or illnesses such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, depression, and/or diabetes. When patients with chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease do not take medication as directed, the repercussions can be severe. For instance, not keeping blood pressure in check can lead to heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. “Missed or skipped doses of medication cause 125,000 deaths every year and account for 10 to 25 percent of hospital and nursing home admissions.”
There is a simple solution for this spiraling problem: medication synchronization aka medication adherence. When you sync your monthly maintenance medications and condense your trips to the pharmacy into one efficient stop you not only save time and money you also are more inclined to adhere to taking your medications consistently and without missed doses due to lack of available medication. Simply put: a subscription for your prescription medications. This is a completely free service that we are happy to provide to you. Let us take the hassle and stress out of your life when it comes to managing your prescriptions. Not only do we auto-fill your prescriptions every month without prompting, but we also notify your doctor 5 days ahead of your adherence date to ensure you are completely taken care of and in case we need to obtain refills from their office. By syncing up all your medications you benefit in more ways than one!
High blood pressure is a serious medical condition. Left untreated, high blood pressure increases your risk for heart attack, stroke, and even heart failure!
Arkansas has the 7th highest rate of high blood pressure among adults in the country. At Collier Drug, we want to help our patients understand the importance of keeping a close eye on their blood pressure, and to learn how to manage it correctly. Come by to get a free blood pressure reading and talk to one of our pharmacists about what you can do to control your blood pressure so that you can live a longer, healthier life.
Heart Health Assessment
Heart disease is the number one cause of death for men and women in the United States. 1 in 4 deaths are the result of heart disease! So being aware of your heart health is of upmost importance!
So we all have heard about the importance of maintaining a healthy cholesterol level, but if you don’t know what your cholesterol levels are, how do you know to make any changes? Let us help you determine your level of heart health and give you advice on improvements you can make to live a longer healthier life!
Our expertly trained pharmacists will perform a quick test that will check several key factors related to your heart’s overall health. We will check a full cholesterol panel including the “good” and “bad” cholesterol, as well as blood pressure and glucose level. The full assessment only takes about 15 minutes! In other words, you are only 15 minutes away from taking control of your health completing your Heart Health Assessment!
Please call and schedule an appointment and to get more information about fasting prior to your appointment!

Medication Multi-Dose Packaging
Collier Drug Store now offers Dispill® Multi-dose Packaging. Dispill® is a safer, easier, more convenient system for dispensing prescription drugs that not only improves medication adherence, but also helps to maintain patient independence and quality of life. These benefits extend to all patient types—those with multiple-dose requirements, children or adults with various disabilities, patients in foster or group homes—there are no exclusions. The blister-cell design allows for packaging of multiple daily medications per cell and organizes them by time of dose, eliminating the need for abundance of pill bottles, bulky pillboxes, and excessive single-dose bingo cards. On top of it all, these pre-packaged doses are safely filled and carefully checked by your pharmacist!
Download and bring a completed copy of the Multi-Dose Packaging Form to your Collier Drug location to get started. You can also get more information by reading our article on the Dispill® system, “Multi-dose Packaging: Simplifying Your Medication Schedule.”

Patients on Medicare Part D regularly receive requests from insurance companies to change prescription drug plans. Each plan’s marketing usually makes the case that they are the best plan on the market. However, what each plan often leaves out are the true costs of joining their plan.
At Collier Drug, we offer a FREE service that will analyze each Medicare Part D plan based on your individual medications. By doing this, we can help you find a cost effective plan that will leave more money in your pocket each year.
This evaluation factors in both the premium (how much you pay each month) and the copays for each medication you take. There are many factors to consider when selecting a plan, including what preferred medications that plan has, copay tiers, premiums, and potential limitations on medications. The worst part is that these plans change each year.
