Carl began working in his father's drug store in 1951 as a child. His first job was washing dishes for the soda fountain and dusting shelves. Today he has a love for cars and repairing them; and he also enjoys traveling to Aruba.
Carl is a lifelong resident of Fayetteville. He is a member of Rotary, First Night, United Way, and the Arkansas Pharmacy Association.
After high school he attended UAMS Pharmacy School in Little Rock and graduated in 1964. He married his wife, Jan, in 1965 and had two children, Meredith and Mel. Carl has four grandchildren, Hailey, Katelyn, Chris, and Jamie.
